Not too long ago I discovered a facinating post while scrolling and I wanted to share it with you [original post at bottom of page.] Did you know that when you photograph quantum entangled photons(light particles) while they are in motion, it creates an image that resembles the Yin-Yang symbol? Growing up training and working in a martial arts business made me affectionately familiar with the yin-yang. It was my favorite sign to draw and its meaning was one that always resonated with me. Id give you my own interpretation but I feel like the verbiage from this website says it best:

“The yin-yang philosophy says that the universe is composed of competing and complementary forces of dark and light, sun and moon, male and female. The philosophy dates back 3,000 years, to the 9th century BCE, and influences the philosophies of Taoism and Confucianism.”
The yin has a drop of yang and the yang has a drop of yin and this duality is what completes the circle. Life on earth would not have been possible without the sun and the moon, fire and water, earth and air. The yin represents feminine energies; the moon, the void of creation, Mother Earth, dark. The yang represents masculine energies; the sun, the seeds of life, fire, light. The post I found this information from claimed that modern science is circling back to ancient wisdom and in the case of yin-yangs and quantum entangled photons I agree. From what I can understand the Yin Yang philosify and the wave function have some very cool similarities. [Description of the wave function in original post below]
The subconscious is a very powerful part of the human mind/psyche and it is no surprise to me that symbols and images that have surfaced in the past via meditative and spiritual revelations are now being re-discovered in scientific studies centuries later. For many years these images were just symbols and icons that originated in creative minds, but to now be seeing these symbols appearing in the STEM fields adds an exciting level of mystery to the equation for me. For some of us the best part about the unexplored frontiers of space, science and technology are the wonders of new possibilities and discoveries.

Original post:
“Researchers at the University of Ottawa, in collaboration with Danilo Zia and Fabio Sciarrino from the Sapienza University of Rome, recently demonstrated a novel technique that allows the visualization of the wave function of two entangled photons, the elementary particles that constitute light, in real-time.
Using the analogy of a pair of shoes, the concept of entanglement can be likened to selecting a shoe at random. The moment you identify one shoe, the nature of the other (whether it is the left or right shoe) is instantly discerned, regardless of its location in the universe. However, the intriguing factor is the inherent uncertainty associated with the identification process until the exact moment of observation.
The wave function, a central tenet in quantum mechanics, provides a comprehensive understanding of a particle’s quantum state. For instance, in the shoe example, the “wave function” of the shoe could carry information such as left or right, the size, the colour, and so on.”
